Saika Nakayama
Kia ora! ☺
I’m Saika Nakayama. I grew up in Aichi, now I live in Niigata alone. I’m 2nd grade and I major in psychology. I joined this course because I wanted to improve my English skill for studying abroad. I also want to acquire the ability to understand multicultural society.
I like eating very much. The image shows my hobby, gathering stuffed animals. I became to love it since I was given a big stuffed bear as a Christmas present in childhood. I don’t like insects, especially cockroach. When I have free time, I like to listen to music. I’m usually listening to music on YouTube or smartphone. I’m not using music subscription like Spotify, but I want to try to use it. I don’t like exercise, except for soccer and swimming.
I’m working at soba restaurant at a part
time job. Now we have less customers because of semi-state of emergency by
infection spread. I think about finding the second job if that situation would
be prolonged.
My good point is being patient. I also
think I’m down to earth. My bad point is being pessimistic. I think sometimes I
am self-righteous.
Nice to meet you!
I was very fun to read your blog. So I have a question about your eating. Please let me know your best food that you have ever been to eat!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment! I love Aichi's local cuisine, "doteni" the best. It is a kind if Japanese hotpot called motsunabe or motsuni. Generally beef tripe are used for motsuni, but we use pork tripe in doteni. In addition, we use white radish, konjac. The biggest difference between doteni and motsuni is its taste. Motsuni's seasoning is soy sause, but doteni use hatchyo miso and a lot of suger. It tastes sweet and deep flavor.
DeleteHow many stuffed animals do you have? I also like stuffed toy, but I don't have so much of them.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment! In my apartment, there are 10 stuffed animals. The biggest one is in the image on my blog and the smallest one is palm-sized. In addition, some of them are waiting for my return in my hometown😊 I also don't have them so much before although I liked them. However, when I started to living alone, I felt very loneliness and got many animals. Now I'm happy with living them. I recommend you to live with many animals!
DeleteDear Saika.
ReplyDeleteI look up you because you think to study abroad in the future. I can't make up my mind to go to schools of abroad...(-_-;)
Also, I am interested in the soba shop you work now. I haven't go to shops and restaurants so many yet. I want to go to eat your restabrant!
Thank you for interesting stories.
Hinata
Dear Hinata,
DeleteThank you for your comment!
I am surprised to hear that you can't make up your mind to study abroad because you look you don't hesitate to do that. What is your concern about that? I think you can do it and it will be great experience!
If you come to the restaurant, I am so glad! we can offer delicious soba, tempura, and tarekatsu!
Saika
Hi, Saika! This is Kazuki.
ReplyDeleteI also like Rilakkuma (the character that the picture shows)!
In addition, I like to listen to music and often listen to English music using Apple Music.
If you have some favorite songs, please tell me!
Nice to meet you!
Thank you for your comment, Kazuki! Rilakkuma is so cute, don't you think? I don't know English songs so much, so I recommend my favorite Japanese artist; Ken Hirai, Daichi Miura. Ken have a lot of favorite songs, and my favorite one is "Todokanaikara (トドカナイカラ)". Then, Daichi's favorite one is "(RE)PLAY". This song is better to watch on YouTube, because his dance performance is also incredible!
DeleteStuffed animals can have a lot of character, can't they? My son, Nathan, had a stuffed penguin he was very fond of as a child and my daughter, Sarah, has a favorite stuffed animal too.
ReplyDeleteI like listening to music too. I often listen to songs on YouTube at my desk, or to CDs while I'm cooking or cleaning up in the kitchen. I like a wide variety of music from vocal jazz to drum & bass and from singer song-writers to Gregorian chants. What kinds of music do you enjoy?
Thank you for your comment, David! Yes, they have a lot of character. I have bear, lizard, and so on. When I belonged to chorus club in high school, I've heard Gregorian chant. It was beautiful and pure. Now I fell like listening to that again! Almost I enjoy J-pop. I especially like male singer who sing ballad. I also like Japanese male idol!
DeleteI understood that you apply to this course for the sake of study aboroad. Your porpose is same as mine! Let's try best!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment and encouraging, Tatsuyoshi. You are a reassuring friend who have same purpose as me! Let's do our best!
DeleteHi, Saika.
ReplyDeleteI like to gathering stuffed animals too! I have many of them in my room.
You work at soba restaurant. Have you ever eaten soba at Kojimaya? That restaurant was born in my hometown, and I like it very much! Please try it☻
Thank you!
Chinatsu
Thank you for your comment, Chinatsu! I've never eaten soba at Kojimaya in Tokamachi, although I heard that restaurant is very famous. Actually, I work at Nagaoka Kojimaya, its the same name but different company from your hometown's. I think the taste of soba will be different, so I want to try it!
DeleteI often listen to music on YouTube, too. YouTube can see new things that I haven't ever known. But, I always spend a lot my time for YouTube so I need to be careful...
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think it is nice to work at soba restaurant. I like soba so I want to eat soba where you work! What kind of soba do you recommend in the menu? Please tell me!
