Legendary skater's failure in Olympics - Tatsuyoshi Saito & Kazuki Tashiro

 Yuzuru Hanyu who is a legendary skater joined the Beijing Olympic Games. In these games, he couldn’t get any medals although he was expected to get a gold medal. In November 2021, he tried to perform a quad axel in practice and then he was injured. In an interview, he said “I don’t know the details of my injury because it is complicated and I can’t understand it easily. Also, I don’t know what treatment is the best for me.” He hasn’t recovered yet and he said he has decided not to join the world championships this month.

    I think this story probably based on fact. I didn't see Yuzuru Hanyu's performance, but I know that he took a tremendous challenge in Beijing Olympic. I hope his injure heal quickly!

    I'm very sad to see his face on the picture😢 I think this story include some facts, isn't it? I watched his performance in Beijing on TV, and it was great performance although he couldn't stand on winner's platform. I'm sure many Japanese people respect his effort to try very difficult techniques!

    I was impressed by his skating and try. I learned the importance of try from him, so I'd like to make effort to my goals, and try again and again to achieve them like him.

Hi, my name is David Woodfield. I live in Dunedin, NZ, together with my wife, Patricia, our dog, Neo, and our daughter’s cat, Beetlejuice.
