Kazuki Tashiro

 

Hello, my name is Kazuki Tashiro. I live in Niigata by myself, but my hometown is Aichi. I’m a 2nd grade student in Niigata University, and I’m studying law and German. Why I’m studying German is that I like German culture e.g., soccer, eating potatoes. I want to visit there someday.

 I decided to join this English course because I want to improve my English skills. I didn’t study English so hard since I entered the university, so I want to regain the English skills.

I like to listen to English music. I listen to the rock band named Maneskin recently. They are from Italy, but the singer sings also in English. I’m interested in them because they are about the same age as me.

On the other hand, I didn’t really like training e.g., running. However, I like it now because my brother who is good at sports taught me how to run comfortably. I got to know the fun of running.

Finally, I haven’t decided what I would do after the university, but I want to do a job that I can enjoy. So, my goal is to find the job that I can enjoy.

    I read your blog. It's so interesting! I knew that you like Maneskin. I can't belive they are same age to us as far as I saw the pictureDoes the singer also sing songs in Italian?

      Of course Maneskin also sings in Italian but now they're getting famous in the world
      so they make songs in English, too.
      Now I want to study Italian and understand the meaning of their Italian songs!

    Hi, Kazuki! Your favorite artists looks so cool. I want to try to listen to their song! I also don't like training, but I think I should some exercise like running because I don't get enough exercise recently. I hope you can get the job which you can enjoy and feeling happiness. Good luck!

      One of my favorite potato dishes is "German potato" but it doesn't come from German.
      It is easy to cook if you have potatoes and ham or bacon.
      In addition, you can cook in a short time using a microwave before baking potatoes.
      I remember that another delicious dish while writing this comment.
      It's called "Potato Skin" that I ate in American style cafe.
      I don't remember it clearly but it was so delicious.

    I studied a little German at junior high school. I found it an enjoyable language to study. It is interesting how there are so many long words, which are built of lots of shorter words.
    What kind of music do Maneskin make? I enjoy music a great deal. Recently I have been listening to the legendary soul singer Nina Simone and the contemporary New Zealand gospel band, the Parachute Band. I find music lifts my spirits. How does listening to Maneskin make you feel?

      Their music is stimulative so I can release the stress and get energy through listening to it.

      I recommend Justin Bieber and his album, "Justice".
      His songs in the album are all wonderful and makes me relaxed.
      I like his beautiful voice so it's one of my strong recommendations.
      I also recommend a song, "MAMMAMIA" sung by Maneskin.
      But maybe it's too exiciting to listen to them for the first time...

Hi, my name is David Woodfield. I live in Dunedin, NZ, together with my wife, Patricia, our dog, Neo, and our daughter’s cat, Beetlejuice. I’m teaching this course in fulfilment of my duties as a teacher at the University of Otago. My likes include reading, watching TV and walking. I like reading books about faith, art & society.
